LIMITED RELEASE BASE

Blackwattle’s Scribbly Slub yarn is a limited release range of 4ply (fingering weight) slub wool. This base is a two ply construction, milled with a thread of superwash merino spun unevenly with a thread of nylon to create the terrific textural highlights throughout.

Slub yarn is ideal for headbands, hats, scarves, cowls and shawls. But if you love the novelty of this texture, you can really substitute slub yarn into most 4ply knitting and crochet projects! Slub yarns can also be double stranded with a lace weight yarn to create a heavier weight and lovely fluffy halo effect.

Not to be overlooked, the art yarn qualities of slub also means this is a fabulous option for creating some wonderful weaved projects when used as a creative weft!

Scribbly Slub can be Dyed To Order in most of our standard repeatable colourways on request. Minimum order quantities and lead times may apply. Reach out to us via the Contact Us form for further details.

Please note, these colourway images are to be used as a guide only. Blackwattle yarns are hand dyed, so each skein will be unique in it’s own special way. Though we use the same recipe batch to batch, each wash of dye splashes in different ways, colours blend uniquely and sprinkles of dye may not fall in the same spots as last time. It’s part of what makes hand dyed yarns so special!

Our hand dyed yarns have been washed to remove excess dye from the fibres, however with dark and saturated colourways some residual dye may remain. We suggest washing projects individually.

For your Scribbly Slub projects, we suggest a gentle machine or hand wash in cold water. Wool wash or a mild detergent may be used.

We recommend blocking and drying garments flat and not tumble drying.
