80% New Zealand Merino + 20% Silk
This luxurious blend is made of fine 22 micron New Zealand merino wool and a lustrous silk. Perfect for spinning your own silky soft, lacy and lightweight yarn or getting creative with unique semi-worsted yarns for your weaving creations!
Packs are available to order in 100gram or 500gram bags if required.
Fibre: A blend of 80% New Zealand Merino and 20% Silk.
Fibre Diameter: ~22 micron (merino) / ~15 micron (silk)
Unit Weight: Available in 100gram bags and on request in 500 gram bumps.
Ashford's merino silk fibre blends are available in 20 blended colourways and white.
Please note, these images are to be used as a guide only. Due to the nature of hand dyed yarns and fibres, each bag will be slightly unique in it’s own special way.
For your spun merino silk yarns, we suggest a gentle hand wash in cold water. Wool wash or a mild detergent may be used.
We recommend blocking and drying garments flat and not tumble drying.
