The Cheeky Neurons
The Cheeky Neurons, created by Jo Adams (who also works with us at Blackwattle), is a project that helps families understand the neuroscience underlying epilepsy and other neurological disorders.
Epilepsy is a neurological condition that affects up to 1% of the population – many of whom are children. Through online information, community events, school programs and crafting, Jo has created a project called The Cheeky Neurons, that is helping to highlight and explain epilepsy.
By helping children, and their families, understand epilepsy in a fun and engaging way, Jo hopes to be able to reduce the stigma and anxiety that is often associated with the experience of epilepsy.
At Blackwattle, as part of our Giving Back Program, we support Jo’s wonderful project! By purchasing a Cheeky Neuron Pack you can also support the wonderful work that Jo does!
All profit from the sale of these packs will be donated by Jo, on behalf of The Cheeky Neurons, directly to Epilepsy ACT, the local branch of Epilepsy Australia.
